The Comcast Center, which belongs to the University of Maryland is the famous entertainment center, which can seat 18.000 people. The center was built in the year 2002 and was created in the main for the basketball games. The famous Comcast Corporation, which specializes on the internet and computer services and on the computer cables, concluded a treat on the advertisement and paid $25 millions to have its logotype in the arena during the following 20 years. 

            The Comcast Center was the witness of many basketball games, including the game of the January 2003, when the Terps won the Duke University team. The Comcast Center is used also for the other sport games and competitions, such as volleyball, wrestling, gymnastics and for other university events. 

            One of the most interesting parts of the arena is an area with the seats behind the basketball baskets. This area is well – known as “The Wall”.  This part of the Comcast Center consists of the 2600 seats and is always occupied be the students of the University of Maryland, because of its good position. 

            Near the entrance of the center there is a board of honour, which is called the Terrapin Walk of Fame and History. Here there are a lot of photographs, devoted to the history of the Center and to the previous seasons of the University of Maryland teams. 

           The Comcast Center is also provided by all essential services and equipment, such as cable TV, suit – holders,  a bar with refrigerator and ice maker, the private restrooms and the computers with the access to the Internet. 

The name of the Comcast Center is today very popular in the sport fields. The staff of the Center tries to provide the good service and to support the building in good fettle. In the near future the second building with the name “Comcast Center” will appear. It will be the highest skyscraper in Pennsylvania.
